We recognize that giving up a family pet is never an easy decision, but we know that sometimes it may feel like you have no other option. We are here to help you should you make the decision to surrender your dog to Oregon Dachshund Rescue located in Portland Oregon.
Please fill out the Surrender Form by clicking the button below. Volunteers from Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc. will be in touch with you as soon as they review your information. We know it is a difficult decision to give up your dog but please be assured we will do everything we can to find him/her the very best home.
DAY OF SURRENDER CHECKLIST:
Surrendering a pet is a difficult decision. We want to help you through the process to ensure you are making the best decision for you and your situation. In the steps below, we have outlined a checklist of requirements for you when you decide to surrender your dog.

Your dog should be recently bathed, including clipped nails, grooming (if applicable), and clean ears

Your dog should be collared and leashed

Vet records and a month's supply of current medications

Favorite toys and blankets.

Current food and treats
-
Wire crate or kennel
-
A surrender fee of $100 (unless other arranged)

Signed copy of the Donation Agreement
