ABOUT US

Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc. is a no-kill, all-volunteer rescue specializing in saving Dachshunds throughout Portland, Oregon, and surrounding areas across Oregon, Washington, and California. We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 26-1529986) dedicated to helping Doxies that are abused, neglected, injured, disabled, abandoned, or facing euthanasia. We believe every Dachshund deserves compassion, proper medical care, and the chance to find a safe, loving forever home.

WHAT WE DO

Oregon Dachshund Rescue, Inc. takes in Dachshunds in need throughout Oregon, Washington, California, and surrounding areas. We also provide transportation assistance when needed. We specialize in caring for deaf and blind double dapples while welcoming all Dachshunds in need of rescue, medical care, and rehabilitation. Many of the dogs we save come from puppy mills, hoarding situations, unsafe homes, abandonment, and severe neglect. On average, we rescue two to three dogs each week and provide for both their physical and emotional needs through veterinary care, spay/neuter services, rehabilitation, and loving foster homes. Our goal is to ensure every dog receives the time, compassion, and care they deserve before finding a safe and loving forever home.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Our rescue operates 100% on donations and the generous support of people like you. As an all-volunteer organization, we rely on donations and volunteer time to continue saving Dachshunds in need. Volunteers assist with fostering, transportation, networking, answering calls and emails, and helping with daily care.
